DeAndre Jordan’s vote for the best dressed Clipper? DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan: 'I loved the suits, but the one outfit with the leather pants and no shirt. I felt like Jimi Hendrix! I was feeling the Purple Haze there!'

Clippers star DeAndre Jordan, known for his tremendous rebounding and defensive skills on the basketball court (ok, so Wednesday night’s OT loss to Portland wasn’t his finest moment), knows a thing or two about fashion, too.

Jordan, featured in the spring fashion issue of Athletes Quarterly, said that Chris Paul and Blake Griffin dress well, but lamented that the 6-foot-11 center is best-dressed Clipper.

"We’ve got some guys that are really into it. Chris Paul is always dressed great. Blake Griffin, Chris Douglas-Roberts, they wear it well too. But we all can’t win. So I’ll be 1A and they can all be 1B," Jordan said in the Q&A.

Jordan also talks about when he got interested in fashion, and if he can buy anything off the rack.

"When I was 21-years-old. I had been in the league a bit. I was wearing size 3x polos and jeans that I could fit two of me in. As I got older, I started to change and develop as a person. I really started to like more tailored clothing. I wanted to try different things. And it all really happened from there."

Jordan currently leads the NBA in rebounding (14.5 per game) and field-goal percentage (71.3 percent) and is tied for third in blocks (2.3 per game) for the Clippers (40-22).

"I’m going to be that guy who, when he’s in his sixties and seventies, wears a suit every day, even if I’m just going down to the grocery store. I am going to be suited and booted to go buy that food! I’ll be like The Great Gatsby!"
