Key player: Trojans WR JuJu Smith
Facing the conference's sixth-ranked pass defense ishould be a good matchup for record-setting QB Cody Kessler and his slew of talented receivers to exploit. True freshman JuJu Smith, of Long Beach Poly fame, is second on the team in catches (26) but has the highest average (13.5) on the squad. Expect Kessler and Smith to find each other early, and often.

Intangible: Keep winning on the road
Great teams win on the other guy's turf, and so far in 2014, USC is 2-1 on the road, with the only loss coming to Boston College. Slowing down the Arizona hype in Tucson was huge, as will be, handling the Utah crowd and atmosphere. Washington State in Pullman is up next for the Trojans.

Across the field: Utes DE Nate Orchard
In his third season starting at left end, Orchard is a force for the Utah defense. He leads with team with 13 tackles for a loss, as well as, 10.5 sackes. Keeping Orchard away from Cody Kessler and Buck Allen will a key for USC to get the victory.

Prediction: USC 40, Utah 27
Utah will be as good of a challenge as any team USC has battled so far this season. But, at the end of the night, the Trojans are just too talented for the Utes to overcome.
