UConn freshmen lead Huskies' postseason makeover

Connecticut's hopes for an eighth national championship have been given a boost in the postseason by its three freshmen.
Forwards Breanna Stewart and Morgan Tuck and guard Moriah Jefferson all were key contributors for the Huskies in the Bridgeport Regional, with Stewart earning Most Outstanding Player honors.
The three, who struggled to play at a consistent level all season, combined for 72 points in the Huskies' wins over Maryland and Kentucky.
Coach Geno Auriemma says the freshmen have also been great on the defensive end, with Jefferson pressuring the ball and Stewart blocking shots.
He says Tuck, who looks to have regained her early-season form in the post after struggling with a right knee injury, is poised to have a huge national championship tournament in New Orleans.
