- [SIGHS] Skip, I think the thing is, is that we saw this from reading a article about Aaron Rodgers. I do not believe the championship gave Kevin Durant the inner peace that he thought it would. You remember Aaron Rodgers--

SKIP BAYLESS: That's a good point.

- --said he was sitting on the bus. And he was--

SKIP BAYLESS: I agree

- --looking around, and this is it?

SKIP BAYLESS: Yeah, yep.

- So Kevin Durant was like, I'm the finals MVP. I won a title. Yes, I joined a historically great team. But is this it?

So let me go back to trolling 18-, 20-year-olds on Twitter.

SKIP BAYLESS: Mm-hm.

- Skip, the thing is, this is who Kevin Durant's always been. Kevin Durant-- people think winning championships changes who you are. Kevin Durant is a petty champion now.

He's a guy that's take-- that takes shot because, see, you couldn't-- he couldn't take the shot that he took--

SKIP BAYLESS: Mm-hm.

- --because he wasn't a champion.

SKIP BAYLESS: Yeah.

- See, now he has that championship, now--

SKIP BAYLESS: I got it.

- --he can take shots now.

SKIP BAYLESS: And I'm OK with it because of this. If I may say so once again, for two years on ESPN, I reported that Kevin Durant did not love playing with Russell Westbrook and that he really didn't love the fact that the management in Oklahoma City made Russell Westbrook the star of that franchise. I said he would leave. He left. People were scoffing at me.

And Kevin Durant remains bitter about that.

SHANNON SHARPE: Mm-hm.

- And it's the reverse of I left my heart in San Francisco. He left his heart in Oklahoma City.

SHANNON SHARPE: Yes.

- He still can't get over that it didn't work. And obviously, they're up three games to one--

SHANNON SHARPE: Right.

- --on Golden State. And he wants to redo it in his heart, and you can't.

SHANNON SHARPE: You can't.

- You have to cut bait and go forward.

SHANNON SHARPE: Move on. Skip--

- And move on.

SHANNON SHARPE: --think about it. If he had played those five games like he played in the finals--

SKIP BAYLESS: Yeah.

- --against Golden State, [EXHALES] when they up-- [INAUDIBLE].

SKIP BAYLESS: Ugh.

- We're having a different conversation.

SKIP BAYLESS: I think we are, actually. And I think he's still in Oklahoma City.

- Yes, and I think the thing is that gnarls at him because people bring that up.

- It does.

- You drew on the historically great team that you had down 3-1, and you couldn't step on them and put them away. So you had to go join them. Kevin, let it go, bruh. You won. You were right.

- He won.
