Former Ultimate Fighter competitor Richie Vaculik will get back in action in June when he returns at the upcoming UFC Fight Night in New Zealand facing newcomer Roldan Sangcha-an in a flyweight bout on the undercard.
UFC officials confirmed the fight on Monday morning.
Vaculik was a member of the Australian team during the season of TUF: The Smashes, which pitted the land down under against fighters from England. During the competition, Vaculik fought as a lightweight and now he’s dropped an addition 30 pounds where he competes in the flyweight division.
In his lone Octagon appearance since the show, Vaculik fell by TKO to current 125-pound prospect Justin Scoggins. With his back likely against the wall, Vaculik will be in desperate need of a win to stick around the UFC when he fights in June.
Roldan "The Executioner" Sangcha-an comes to the UFC with a perfect 4-0 record fighting out of the Philippines.
Sangcha-an has picked up impressive victories in all four fights with two ending by way of TKO and the other two ending via submission. Now he looks to make Vaculic the fifth victim on his resume.
UFC Fight Night: Te Huna vs. Marquardt takes place on June 28 from Auckland, New Zealand and airs on UFC Fight Pass.
