If there’s any doubt about the rivalry shared between former teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw, look no further than the first trailer ahead of “The Ultimate Fighter” season 25.
The show will feature a cast made up of fighters who have all competed on previous seasons of the series with the bantamweight champion and the No. 1 contender serving as coaches.
Beyond helping the fighters get ready for the action inside the Octagon, Garbrandt and Dillashaw clearly let their emotions bubble over during the season judging by the video released on Tuesday.
“Cody’s just such a hot head arrogant ass,” Dillashaw says during the trailer.
Those words are followed by Garbrandt leaving the cage and charging after his former teammate from Team Alpha Male before the end of the trailer shows him grabbing Dillashaw by the throat during another encounter.
Garbrandt is no stranger to physical altercations on “The Ultimate Fighter” after he served as a guest coach for Urijah Faber several seasons ago.
Funny enough, Garbrandt shoved current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor after he was talking trash about Dillashaw and his relationship with the team.
Given the footage that debuted on Tuesday it’s clear that Garbrandt is ready to fight Dillashaw as soon as possible whether they are standing inside the Octagon or not.
The new season of “The Ultimate Fighter” debuts on FS1 on Wednesday night, April 19 at 10 p.m. ET.
