Thompson comes to FOX Sports 1 from Great Britain's Sky Sports, where she presented Formula 1 coverage for Sky Sports F1 in its 2012-'13 season, and served as anchor for Sky Sports News' Afternoon Report and Evening Update shows between 2001 and 2011.

Thompson has covered some of the world's biggest sporting events, including the Wimbledon Championships, U.S. Open and The Ryder Cup.  She also hosted the A1 Grand Prix, SuperSet Tennis, Race of Champions and The Speedway World Cup.   

Outside of Sky Sports, Thompson anchored Sky 1's Greatest Sporting Legends series with Sir David Frost in 2005 and appeared as a regular panelist on the first four series of Sky 1's hit show A League of their Own, hosted by James Corden. 

In May 2011, Thompson published her first novel, The Twitter Diaries, co-written with her friend and New York native Imogen Lloyd Webber, which became a top-five best seller on Amazon.

Thompson graduated from the University of Leeds in 1999 with a 2.1 degree in broadcast journalism.  She worked as a production assistant for England's GMTV before being hired at Sky Sports in 2001.
