Report: RFA champ Zach Makovsky tapped to face Scott Jorgensen at UFC on FOX

It didn’t take long for the UFC to fill the void left by John
Dodson after the
former
Ultimate Fighter winner
suffered a knee injury forcing him out
of his scheduled fight against Scott Jorgensen at
UFC
on FOX: Johnson vs. Benavidez 2
next week.

According to sources close to the situation speaking to FOX
Sports on Wednesday, Resurrection Fighting Alliance flyweight
champion and former Bellator bantamweight champion Zach ‘Fun Size’
Mackovsky has been tapped as a replacement to step in and face
Jorgensen. MMAWeekly.com first reported the switch.

Makovsky accepts the fight on just 10 days notice away from
facing Jorgensen, but it won’t be the rough weight cut or lack of
training camp that some fighters might deal with this close to a
bout.

It was just under two weeks ago that Makovsky defeated Matt
Manzanares to win the RFA flyweight title and now he’s received the
call to make his UFC debut at UFC on FOX in Sacramento.

UFC officials haven’t confirmed the bout yet, but an
announcement is expected soon/
