Dos Anjos vs. McGregor, Holm vs. Tate official for UFC 197 in Las Vegas

UFC 197 has now been made official with lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos taking on Conor McGregor and Holly Holm facing Miesha Tate in a mega-event headed to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on March 5.

FOX Sports first reported the matchups last week and now the UFC has confirmed both bouts signed, sealed and delivered for the upcoming card in March.

McGregor will attempt to become the first ever UFC fighter to hold two titles at once as he goes for lightweight gold after beating featherweight champion Jose Aldo in December at UFC 194.

For dos Anjos, the fight will represent his second title defense after winning the belt last March and then defeating Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in December with a first-round knockout just 66 seconds into the first round.

The UFC also confirmed women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm will make the first defense of her belt after defeating Ronda Rousey last November at UFC 193.

Holm will be top-ranked contender Miesha Tate, who is currently riding a four-fight win streak, including a victory over Jessica Eye in her last fight in July 2015.

UFC 197: Dos Anjos vs. McGregor tickets go on sale on Jan. 22 through Ticketmaster and other ticket outlets. All four fighters will also head to Las Vegas next week on Jan. 20 at a press conference to officially launch the card.
