Cub Swanson and Doo Ho Choi engaged in one of the craziest brawls of the year that had the Canadian crowd begging for a fourth and fifth round.
When a fight between long time UFC favourite Cub Swanson and rising star Doo Ho Choi was announced the mixed martial arts world jumped with joy. Both men like to let their fists do the talking and with both on their own respective journey into a possible title fight we all knew this was going to be a cracking fight.
Swanson brought a two fight winning streak into the fight with his latest victory coming over Tatsuya Kawajiri in August. The long time UFC striking sensation has won 8 of his last 10, dropping back-to-back fights to Frankie Edgar and Max Holloway.
Choi on the other hand is riding a 13-fight undefeated streak and is more than a match for anyone in the 145-pound division. Since signing with the UFC back in 2014 “The Korean Superboy” has stopped all three of his opponents via KO.

These two featherweight’s engaged in what is most certainly going to be a fight of the year candidate. It was a pure stand up war that the UFC veteran Swanson would end up winning. The tone of the fight was set early in round one with both men throwing heavy fight ending leather.
Swanson landed hard and landed more often on his way to the unamious decision victory over the brightest rising star in the 145-pound division. Choi had his moments where it looked like he may be able to stop the brutal attack coming his way but Swanson used his years of experience to ensure a hard-fought victory.
