The bout is the fourth to join the lineup following the
event’s recent announcement. Middleweights Luke Rockhold and
Costa Philippou will headline the show, while a featherweight clash
between Cole Miller and Sam Sicilia and a bantamweight battle
between T.J. Dillashaw and Mike Easton are also on tap.
Silva, who just turned 31 earlier this month, is coming off two
straight wins, including a decision over Matt Hamill and a knockout
of Rafael Cavalcante. He is 16-3 with 2 no contests.
The match represents a major opportunity for St. Preux, who has
won both of his UFC starts, but has seen both of them take place
against lesser-known opposition. He earned a technical decision
over Gian Villante in his UFC debut in April, and followed it up in
August with a first-round knockout of Cody Donovan.
Silva is his highest-profile opponent to date, a former top 10er
who headlined an event as recently as 2012. St. Preux is 14-5
overall and has knocked out two of his last three opponents.
The show takes place at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center in
