It's been another week chocked full of fight announcements for several of the UFC's upcoming fight cards with new additions to shows in San Antonio, New Mexico and even Berlin. The worldwide expansion means even more top prospects being added to the UFC's roster and the list this week was huge.
The main events for a couple of upcoming UFC Fight Night cards were the stand out announcements of the week as well as the first ever back-to-back fight night cards being confirmed for July in Las Vegas.
Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will return to headline an upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Albuquerque, NM against upstart Russian fighter Rustam Khabilov. There's also the UFC Fight Night event on June 28 in San Antonio, Tex. pitting Cub Swanson vs. Jeremy Stephens in a bout that will almost certainly have title implications on the line.
UFC Fight Night in Berlin found a main event as well with Mark Munoz taking on former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi. The first bout for the UFC's return to Vancouver was also confirmed this week, not to mention TUF 19 coaches Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn being scheduled to f ight for a third time at the finale card taking place July 6 in Las Vegas. That card takes place just 24 hours after UFC 175 wraps up from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, although no bouts have been confirmed for that card as of yet.
