Injuries have forced a change to the upcoming UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 card from Tulsa as Demian Maia has been forced out due to injury, so Mike Pyle now meets Jordan Mein on the main card of the show.

Maia was scheduled to meet Pyle in one of the featured bouts on the card, but an undisclosed injury has pushed the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt out of the fight and back to the sidelines.

Jordan Mein also recently lost his opponent when Brandon Thatch suffered a gruesome injury to his toe, which also cancelled their bout on the card.

So following those two departures, the UFC has opted to match up Pyle against Mein in a new welterweight fight scheduled for August 23 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The UFC release about the fight also stated the new bout between Pyle and Mein would serve as the co-main event of the evening.

UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 from Tulsa will be headlined by former lightweight champion Benson Henderson as he looks to pick up his second third consecutive win as he faces Rafael Dos Anjos in the mian event.
