There are no titles on the line, but when Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown step into the Octagon together, bad things are going to happen and the entire world will be watching. These two welterweights are on a collision course with cataclysmic results expected, but before they throw down in the cage on Saturday they have to weigh in on Friday to hit the mark for the 170-pound division.
Lawler is a former middleweight who has found new life at welterweight since returning to the UFC last year while Brown has reeled off seven wins in a row with six of them coming by way of knockout or TKO. The winner of this fight will get a shot at the championship currently held by Johny Hendricks so there’s plenty on the line for both fighters in San Jose.
Also on the card, Anthony Johnson looks to continue his run as a light heavyweight when he takes on crafty veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. The odds have Johnson instilled as one of the biggest favorites on the entire card, but with Nogueira’s experience could he be ready to pull off the upset of the night?
