Krauss vs. Khaliev scrapped from Chicago card
Another change has been made to the upcoming FOX UFC Saturday from Chicago as welterweights Adam Khaliev and Pascal Krauss have both suffered injuries thus scrapping their fight from the card on Jan 25.
UFC officials announced the news on Saturday.
Khaliev (6-0) has been a highly touting prospect for the last couple of years, especially after he uncorked one of the most spectacular knockouts in MMA history when he floored his opponent with a tornado kick.
The Russian welterweight is still undefeated in his professional career, but unfortunately his UFC debut will have to wait until he is healthy and able to return to action.
Since Khaliev and Krauss both suffered injuries, which removed the entire fight from the card, UFC matchmakers are currently scrambling to add another bout to the upcoming show in Chicago. The UFC already lost a heavyweight bout between Jared Rosholt and Oleksiy Oliynyk after injuries scrapped that fight as well.
With just two weeks remaining until show time expect the UFC to
move quickly to fill the spot vacated by Khaliev and Krauss,
otherwise the upcoming show will take place with 10 bouts on the
night's fight card.
