Joe Rogan: Rousey won't leave the UFC because she 'likes beating girls up'

Joe Rogan has a unique perspective when it comes to Ronda Rousey. As a comedian, he’s done the whole Hollywood thing. Plus, he’s a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and former tae kwon do champion.
Taking those things into account, the UFC color commentator doesn’t think Rousey is going to leave MMA for movies any time soon.
“Her competitive drive is not going to go away with fame,” Rogan said Wednesday night on FOX Sports Live. “I think it’s deep. I think it goes down to the bone.”
Rousey, 27, has scored leading roles upcoming in “Entourage” and “The Athena Project.” She’s also coming off shooting “The Expendables 3” and “Fast & Furious 7” in the fall.
It’s been a busy few months for her. In the Octagon, Rousey just defended her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Miesha Tate in December and she’ll take on Sara McMann at UFC 170 on Feb. 22 in Las Vegas.
Still, with all that on her plate, Rogan believes she’s going to lean more toward the athletic side of things.
“I don’t think she’s going to enjoy acting more than she enjoys being a champion,” Rogan said.
What makes him think that? It’s the way Rousey carries herself, Rogan said. When she gets interviewed by other women, Rogan joked that Rousey “mean mugs” them. She leaves little doubt that she’s the alpha female in the situation.
“I think Ronda Rousey likes beating girls up,” Rogan said. “I don’t think you’re gonna see her [leaving the UFC] any time soon.”
