Georges St-Pierre mocks Michael Bisping's 'horrendous' and 'terrible' trash talk

Georges St-Pierre was welcomed back to the UFC last week with a press conference that started without his opponent Michael Bisping but ended with the middleweight champion throwing all sorts of insults and expletives his way.

St-Pierre was never known as a prolific trash talker during his previous stint with the UFC, and he doesn't expect to suddenly develop those skills now either.

Thankfully, St-Pierre says he's not exactly going up against a wordsmith in Bisping despite the Brit's loud mouth and tendency to hurl obscenities at an opponent.

"I'm going to tell you the truth. English is not my first language. I speak much better English than before and also it's not that it's not my first language, I'm just not good at trash talking," St-Pierre explained on "UFC Undisputed" this week. "Some guys are just so good. Like Chael Sonnen is amazing, Conor McGregor is amazing. I pick my fights very carefully.

"I cannot get into a war of words. Even though I don't consider Bisping as a good trash talker. I think he's horrendous. I think he's terrible.  He's not even good at trash talking. He's doing the best thing for me. The more he talks, the more he embarrasses himself."

Of course, Bisping has been known to throw more than a few insults towards his past opponents. St-Pierre, however, just doesn't think Bisping is nearly as creative or funny as he might think he's being when trying to take jabs at him ahead of their fight later this year.

St-Pierre is the first to admit he'd never get into a war of words with someone like McGregor because that would be a one-sided fight he would absolutely lose. Fortunately, St-Pierre says Bisping is no McGregor.

"I don't really care. Some guys, for example, Conor McGregor or Chael Sonnen, I would never be able to get into a war of words with them because they're just so good," St-Pierre said. "But Michael Bisping he thinks he's good, but he's terrible.

"Everything he says doesn't make sense. The more he opens his mouth, the more he embarrasses himself. So for me, it's a good thing."

One comment that Bisping launched at St-Pierre last week when they came face-to-face for the first time was saying that the former welterweight champion was an athlete and not a fighter.

It's a common phrase that St-Pierre has heard throughout his career so he definitely didn't take offense when Bisping tried to get under his skin, but he still doesn't quite understand the attempted insult.

"The thing is I believe that I show a lot of heart through a lot of my fights. A lot of the fights that I had, I dominated all of the rounds but if you're winning a fight, it's up to the other guy to take a chance, to open up, to make himself available and open up to win the fight. If you're winning the fight and everything goes well, it's the 'Art of War' my friend," St-Pierre explained. "If everything goes well, you keep doing what you're doing if you're winning that fight. In America a lot of times we don’t understand that because in our culture a lot of guys they go to see a bloodbath or a slugfest.  If you go to Asia, they understand that very well. It's the principle of the 'Art of War.'

"A lot of the guys that I fought, I would say I beat them mentally before I beat them physically in the fight. So they accept the defeat even before the end of the fight. I get a lot of criticism for being boring because the guy didn't open up to me and I was just winning. If I'm winning a fight and everything goes well, it's up to my opponent if he's losing to open up and create opportunity."

As of now, the fight between Bisping and St-Pierre still hasn't been scheduled so there will be plenty of time for these two athletes and fighters to engage in trash talk before actually meeting inside the Octagon to settle the score.
