Georges St-Pierre faces off with Michael Bisping for the first time

LAS VEGAS — Georges St-Pierre is back in the UFC and he faced off with an opponent for the first time in nearly four years on Friday.

St-Pierre's return has been rumored for the past year but he just recently inked a new multi-fight deal with the UFC as he looks to once again stake his claim as one of the top fighters in the world.

St-Pierre will face Michael Bisping in his first fight back and their press conference got off to an inauspicious start after the middleweight champion was late getting to the T-Mobile Arena before finally appearing nearly a half-hour past the scheduled kick off time.

Once he arrived, Bisping wasted no time taking shots at St-Pierre as the two fighters engaged in a back and forth war of words before they finally came face-to-face at the end of the press conference.

Bisping immediately started jawing at St-Pierre, who smiled at the middleweight champion in return as UFC president Dana White played referee by staying in between them.

After the fighters separated from the stare down, Bisping was still shouting at St-Pierre as White held him back to ensure there was no physical contact between them.

While no date has been confirmed for the fight, White mentioned that he hoped Bisping versus St-Pierre could headline International Fight Week, which will take place this July in Las Vegas.
