The UFC may have been founded in 1993, but it didn’t become the UFC until 2005. The climax of Season 1 of The
Ultimate Fighter on April 9, 2005, a three-round light
heavyweight war between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar, will be
remembered as one of the greatest fights in UFC history, but more
importantly, as the singular fight that vaulted the organization
into the stratosphere.
Eight incredible years later, UFC President Dana White and TUF
Executive Producer Craig Piligian honored Griffin and Bonnar’s
impact on the organization at the 2013 UFC Fan Expo, with an induction into the
UFC Hall Of Fame.
