Cerrone, Pettis, Faber and more throw their hat in the Conor McGregor sweepstakes

After it was announced that UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos had to drop out of his superfight against Conor McGregor at UFC 196, fighters from all around the UFC landscape jumped at the opportunity to step in and fight the Irishman.

Despite the fact that, according to UFC president Dana White, top choices Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo weren’t ready to take the Octagon on March 5, other fighters in the promotion wanted officials and fans to know they are willing to save the show.

The UFC hasn’t announced an official replacement for dos Anjos, but a few of these guys look like solid candidates.
