Fresh off a win over Evan Dunham at UFC 167, Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone will get back in action at UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Thomson in January when he meets rising Brazilian prospect Adriano Martins.

The fighters have both verbally agreed to the contest as confirmed by UFC officials on Saturday.

Cerrone will look to put together back-to-back wins together when he returns in January after bouncing back and forth between victories and defeats over his last four fights. Cerrone got back to form just last weekend when he submitted Evan Dunham with a second round triangle choke, but now he faces one of the top up and comers in the division.

Adriano Martins is considered a serious prospect at 155 pounds currently riding a six-fight win streak. He defeated veteran fighter Jorge Gurgel in his lone appearance in Strikeforce before submitted former Ultimate Fighter competitor Daron Cruickshank in his UFC debut earlier this month.

Now he will take a decided step up in competition when he faces Cerrone as part of the UFC on FOX card headed to Chicago's United Center on Saturday, January 25.
