Clay Guida draws Dennis Bermudez at FOX UFC Saturday in San Jose

UFC officials confirmed the new fight with FOX Sports on Friday.
Following the first knockout loss of his career, Guida (31-14) powered back in his last fight while also getting back to his classic, exciting style when he bested Tatsuya Kawajiri at the UFC Fight Night card in Abu Dhabi. Throughout his UFC career, Guida has always been regarded as one of the most non-stop, high paced fighters on the roster, but recently he had attempted to adjust his style to avoid taking as much damage.
The results didn't necessarily pay off as Guida struggled through a 1-3 stretch in the UFC, forcing him to re-evaluate things before his last fight. The Chicago native wasted no time getting back to form as he put on a 'Fight of the Night' performance against Kawajiri while picking up a win over another top 10 opponent.
Now he'll look to add Dennis Bermudez's name to his resume as well as the former Ultimate Fighter finalist tries to build momentum of his own after six wins in a row.
Bermudez (13-3) has become one of the featherweight division's fastest rising stars and he's only gotten better in recent fights. Following a few back and forth wars, Bermudez has started to exude dominance in his last two fights putting away Steven Siler and Jimy Hettes in back-to-back performances.
Bermudez finally cracked the top 10 in the division with his last victory, and now he'll face the stiffest competition of his career when he takes on Guida in July.
The bout between Guida and Bermudez joins the FOX UFC Saturday card taking place on July 26 from San Jose with the main card airing on FOX. More bouts for the show including a main event are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
