Chael P. Sonnen hasn’t missed a single step at giving out the best pre-fight interviews as “The American Gangster” prepares to take on former UFC light-heavyweight champion and current fellow FOX Sports’ talking-head “Suga” Rashad Evans in the co-main event at UFC 167.

“Take two of the baddest dudes walking the planet - Rashad Evans world champion, Chael Sonnen top 10 ranked fighter for the last decade - you can put us together and that’s a big fight,” tells Sonnen. “Kids are going to tell their parents, ‘Mother, Father? Can I please buy this event?’”

The man has a gift!

While 0-3 in title fights inside the Octagon, Sonnen is 5-1 in non-title bouts since returning to the UFC in 2009 and is coming off a big 1st round guillotine choke of former champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in August. “I have one goal and that is to be world champion,” states Sonnen who realistically would not be far from another shot if he defeats #4 ranked Evans. “I don’t want the damn shot, I want the title. I don’t believe you can ‘retire’ unless you won a world championship; I believe you just ‘quit’. I don’t want to quit this sport.”
