Bermudez to fight Siler on Nov. 6
Dennis Bermudez has a new opponent at UFC Fight For The Troops 3 after the promotion pulled his original foe for a different opportunity. He’ll face Steven Siler on the Nov. 6 card, UFC officials confirmed in a FOX Sports exclusive.
His original opponent Nik Lentz was moved to a December 14 matchup against current featherweight No. 1 contender Chad Mendes.
Bermudez (11-3) has won four straight in the division, with victories over Max Holloway, Matt Grice, Tommy Hayden and Palo Garza.
Siler has quietly built up an impressive resume, winning five of his six UFC bouts to date. His consecutive wins over Kurt Holobaugh and Mike Brown have pushed his career mark to 23-10.
The UFC Fight For The Troops 3 card will be held in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and will be headlined by Active National Guard member Tim Kennedy taking on Lyoto Machida in “the Dragon’s” middleweight debut. The event is designed to raise money for veteran’s causes.
