Brendan Schaub gets a little emotional in this very special episode of "The Fighter & The Kid."
Obviously, the big topic this week was Schaub's controversial split decision loss to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 174 on Saturday night in Vancouver. Schaub pretty clearly won, but the judges somehow gave the nod to Arlovski. Schaub said decisions like that are a "black eye" for MMA and no other sport has to deal with so much incompetence from officials.
Also, if you were wondering about Schaub's badly swollen face, it was not broken and he said Arlovski did the damage with a headbutt. The cut above Schaub's eye actually happened in training the Monday before the fight. He said he wore "full makeup" all week to hide it from the athletic commission and media.
"I knew that cut was going to open," Schaub said.
Schaub and co-host Bryan Callen did talk about other things on this week's show, like Hector Lombard's muscular butt and legs. Yes, seriously that discussion actually happened.
"Compared to Hector Lombard, my ass looks like Mr. Burns," Schaub said.
All of that stuff, plus when Schaub wants to return to the Octagon is right here. Give it a listen.
