Venus Williams couldn't back up last year's quarterfinal run in Melbourne.

Venus Williams lasted just one match in Melbourne.
The 35-year-old, coming off her best season since 2010, was routed Tuesday at the Australian Open at the hands' of Great Britain's Johanna Konta, 6-4, 6-2.
Williams was the No. 8 seed after a 2015 season that saw her reach the quarterfinals at both the Australian and U.S. Opens, but she looked overmatched on a warm day at the hands of the 24-year-old Konta.
