Date-Krumm's husband is very honest

Can 42-year-old Kimiko Date-Krumm upset Serena Williams at Wimbledon? Her husband is quite honest about it: She'll need a miracle.

Even Steffi and Martina in their primes would have their hands full with Serena Williams the way the latter is playing right now. So you can only imagine what must be going through the heads of those in the camp of Kimiko Date-Krumm, the 42-year-old Japanese trooper who just became the oldest woman to reach the third round at Wimbledon and will have to contend with Serena next.

Well, you don't have to imagine. Date-Krumm's husband, Michael, took to Twitter to offer an awesomely realistic assessment of his wife's chances:

Sounds about right.

Date-Krumm — somewhat amazingly, given their combined years on tour — has never faced Serena Williams.

What's Serena saying about the match? She hasn't tweeted in a week, but you can tell she's relaxed:

The match is scheduled for Saturday, though late-week rain has delayed parts of the schedule. One thing's for certain: Andy Murray will be taking notes.
