Missy Franklin wins 2 events at LA Invitational

Franklin won the 100-meter freestyle in 54.52 seconds in the last tune-up before next month's U.S. national championships in Irvine.
Yolane Kukla of Australia was second in 54.80. Margo Geer took third in 54.91.
Olympians Natalie Coughlin and Jessica Hardy both went slower in the final than they did in the morning preliminaries on the Southern California campus. Coughlin finished fifth in 55.36 and Hardy was last in the eight-woman final in 56.24.
Franklin, the Olympic champion, returned later to win the 200 backstroke in 2 minutes, 10.21 seconds.
Leverenz won the 200 butterfly in 2:12.67, and took the 400 individual medley in 4:41.22.
In the men's 100 free, Olympic champion Nathan Adrian won in 48.32. Cristian Quintero was second in 49.35 and Alexander Sukhorukov took third in 49.57. Olympian Anthony Ervin finished fifth in 49.98. Matt Grevers, another Olympian, won the `B' final.
Olympian Haley Anderson won the 800 freestyle in 8:37.96. She later finished sixth in the 200 butterfly and fourth in the 400 IM.
Katie Goldman of Australia was second in the 800 free in 8:38.27. Australia has sent some of its top swimmers to compete in the last meet before next month's Pan Pacific Championships on the Gold Coast.
Ryan Murphy won the 200 backstroke in 1:57.73, ahead of Jacob Pebley, who was second at 1:57.86. Ashley Delaney of Australia was third in 1:58.06.
Two-time Danish Olympian Mads Glaesner won the 400 free in 3:57.33. Jack McLoughlin of Australia was second in 3:52.06.
