Hahn still smiling; thanks fans for support after SuperCross crash

While running third during his heat race in last weekend’s 450cc Monster Energy action in St. Louis’ Edward Jones Dome, Wil Hahn suffered a crash which knocked him unconscious.

He was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken right humorous as well as neck and shoulder contusions and is expected to miss several weeks.

The annual Anaheim 1 pre-race festivities commenced yesterday with eight of the top riders discussing their expectations for the 2014 Monster Energy season. The 2014 Monster Energy season is just a week away and it’s time to take a look at the riders who will be gunning for the FIM World Championship beginning in next Saturday night.

With reigning triple champion gunning for his fourth consecutive title, the task will be tough for every competitor to end his reign of dominance. However, with the most talented field in history set to line up on the gate next weekend, there is a large contingent of competitors looking to make their presence felt throughout the 17-race season. Three of those riders are rookies to the premier 450SX Class.

Only and Jeremy McGrath have overcome the pressure of the world’s most elite division of riders to emerge as champions in their rookie season. In 2014, a talented trio will look to add their names to the record books, and each knows the difficulties of winning a championship in supercross.
