Marc Marquez of Spain pulled off a remarkable comeback at the French Grand Prix on Sunday to earn his fifth win in as many races this season.

Marquez slipped to 10th place on the opening lap despite taking pole position on Saturday, but the reigning world champion quickly made up ground on the Bugatti track and overtook of Italy on the 13th lap before pulling away.

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP riders Valentino Rossi heads to with spirits high, following a good performance and race in Jerez and with a new chassis incorporated into his YZR-M1 package.

His teammate Jorge Lorenzo heads to Le Mans aiming to return to the podium, having done so only one time so far this season.

The Grand Prix of Spain brought joy for Valentino Rossi as he got his second podium of the season and produced a highly competitive performance in Spain.

Finishing the grueling 27-lap 119km contest just 1.5s behind the rampant race-winner , Rossi appears to have regained the competitiveness which he says will be crucial to his upcoming decision on whether to keep racing beyond 2014. Returning to the rostrum for the first time since 2010 can only be a positive factor as he contemplates his future.

Yamaha’s double World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has admitted that he lacks race fitness in the wake of another crushing defeat by a merciless in the Spanish Grand Prix at .

Just four races into the season and Lorenzo is a massive 65 points behind his Spanish countryman Marquez who has quickly captured the hearts and minds of home fans.
