17-year-old Adam Cianciarulo picked up his first career 250SX victory in his Monster Energy debut Saturday night.

The Pro Circuit Kawasaki young gun kicked off the Eastern Regional 250SX Class Championship by leading 12 laps en route to a main event win at AT&T Stadium in , Texas.

“I couldn’t be more pumped,” said Cianciarulo. “This is for everyone who has stuck behind me through all the good times and bad. It’s taken a lot of good days and a lot of bad days to get to this point. I cannot believe it, all these fans cheering for me and giving me the support. I just can’t believe it. We did it.”

and completed a podium sweep for Pro Circuit Kawasaki in second and third, respectively. Vince Friese and Justin Bogle completed the top five.

Cianciarulo kicked off the 15-lap main event by nailing the holeshot over his teammates Martin Davalos and Blake Baggett, but would bobble on the opening lap and surrender the lead to Davalos. Three laps later it was Davalos making a mistake and handing the lead right back to Cianciarulo.

Once back out front, the rookie stretched his advantage over the field and became the first rider since Trey Canard in 2008 to win in his Monster Energy Supercross debut.
