Jason Anderson used another last-lap pass to earn his third 250SX win of the season and regain the points lead in front of 47,339 fans at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, Calif.
After grabbing the top spot on Lap 7, Dean Wilson appeared to be well on his way to claiming the victory. However, his Kawasaki stalled on the final lap, allowing Anderson to sneak by for the lead and eventual win.
“That win I think I actually got pretty lucky with – Dean stalling his bike,” said Anderson. “I was putting up a fight until the end and I would have brought it all the way to the finish line and that’s just my plan every race. As long as I can be in that lead battle, that’s what I want.”
Wilson managed to get his bike going again and would limp home in second. His Pro Circuit teammate Justin Hill finished a career-best third place.
“I have been working very hard, and everything was coming together tonight, but my bike stalled,” said Wilson. “I have always had the speed, but I have yet to put it together.”
Cole Seely, who held the points lead entering the event, finished off the podium in fourth and now trails Anderson by six points.Cole Seely, Dean Wilson, Jason Anderson, Justin Hill, Oakland, Supercross, Video
