The team concluded its three-day test at Phillip Island in Australia on Thursday after rain and less-than-perfect track conditions hampered much of the progress the riders and technicians hoped to make.

Test rider Randy de Puniet was joined by Voltcom Crescent Suzuki World Superbike rider for the first two days, with the latter unfortunately suffering a crash early on the first day due to the slippery and damp conditions. However the Irishman was able to complete 37 laps on Wednesday despite inclement weather that halted much of the testing on every day; and which included a large amount of geese on the circuit obstructing every session.

The Test Team was back in action as testing resumed at the Sepang International Circuit last week. For Randy de Puniet and the squad, the focus on this occasion was the spec Magneti Marelli ECU hardware.

Ahead of Suzuki’s MotoGP return in 2015, it began testing last year with an ECU supplied by fellow Japanese company Mitsubishi. However, with 2014 marking the season from which every bike in the field must run ECU hardware supplied by Dorna Sports and Magneti Marelli, Suzuki began testing the spec device in Malaysia last week.
