F1: Rosberg looks to end Hamilton winning streak in Monaco

Nico Rosberg says he’s not worried about Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton seizing the initiative with his run of four wins over the past four races.

“I’m not too focused on that,” he said of losing the championship lead in Spain. “Of course I would prefer to be ahead than behind but it’s very, very close and there still a long way to go.

Pastor Maldonado has denied suggestions that his PDVSA backing is under threat, after Venezuela’s sports minister said that there would be no more support for the country’s racing drivers.

Maldonado insisted that Antonio Alvarez had nothing to do with PDVSA’s sponsorship of Lotus.

MotoGP™ rookie Pol Espargaro produced a strong performance at the Monster Yamaha Tech3 Team’s home Grand Prix in Le Mans, finishing in fourth position for his best result yet in the premier class.

The reigning Moto2™ World Champion qualified on the front row of the grid in second at the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France and, as the lights turned to green on Sunday, he made a good start to cross the line inside the leading pack for the first lap.

Magny-Cours is on pole position to return to the F1 calendar next year, the boss of the former French Grand Prix venue has said.

“If the will of a number of people is confirmed in the coming weeks, we are very close,” Magny-Cours chief Serge Saulnier told France’s Infosport on Monday.

Trailer: ’33 Days – Born to be Wild’ Documentary From Lauda’s Crash To Return

In 2013, the well-received movie “Rush” took to the box offices, displaying the feud between Formula 1 champions Niki Lauda and James Hunt in a Hollywood-like fashion.

Now comes along ’33 Days – Born to be Wild,’ a new movie … or rather, documentary, which appears to take a more sedated approach to the struggle that Niki Lauda had to overcome from his fiery crash in the 1976 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, to his solid return at the Italian Grand Prix just 33 days after leaving the hospital.
