Sunday’s sixth round of the 2014 season will see nine-time champion Valentino Rossi make his 300th Grand Prix start in the 838th official race … meaning that the Doctor will have started in 35.8 percent of all Grand Prix events, reports Gregory Haines.

Meanwhile, , who has won all five MotoGP races in 2014, admits that will be a challenge for him after suffering multiple crashes on this circuit last year.

American team Krohn Racing awarded late entry for Le Mans

The game of musical chairs for the rapidly approaching 24 Hours of Le Mans continues, as the Automobile Club de l’Ouest confirmed Tuesday the withdrawal of Strakka Racing from next month’s twice-around-the-clock endurance classic.

Replacing the British squad’s Strakka-Dome S103 Nissan on the 56-car entry list, in a surprise twist, is Krohn Racing, which has been invited back to participate with its Ferrari F458 Italia in GTE-Am.

INDIANAPOLIS – He may have been born and raised in Alabama but it didn’t take long for Jim Nabors to become a true Hoosier – the term for a native of Indiana.

Nabors had already earned fame on television as “Gomer Pyle USMC” on the long-running CBS comedy, when he was invited to the 1972 and told he was singing “Back Home Again in Indiana” by a conductor for the Purdue University Band.
