Exclusive Video! “Jordan Loves Stickers” Premieres

Following the Internet-acclaimed “Intergalactic” and “Good Vibrations” music videos, GRAND-AM driver Jordan Taylor and friends have released their latest video, in a SPEED Blog exclusive premiere.

YouTube sensation, and current Rolex Series Daytona Prototype championship leader Taylor, fresh off victory in last weekend’s SFP Grand Prix at Kansas Speedway, teamed up with brother Ricky and fellow GRAND-AM drivers Alex Gurney, Jon Fogarty and Ryan Eversley for production of their third music video, filmed in the Kansas paddock.

Featuring the ‘90s hit single “The Right Kind of Love” from Jeremy Jordan, the video portrays 22-year-old Taylor’s affection towards Continental tires, the series-wide tire partner of the Rolex Series. Included are some hilarious scenes from the rest of the gang, in what could be described as one of the most entertaining motorsports-related music videos of the summer.

Ferrari Still In F1 Title Fight, Alonso Insists

Fernando Alonso is adamant that Ferrari is still in the Formula One title fight, but stressed that everything will turn on the next few races.

Alonso has lost momentum in recent weeks, and the gap to leader Sebastian Vettel has grown.

“The title will be decided by what the performance of the cars is in next four races, in my opinion,” Alonso said on Thursday at Spa-Francorchamps. “We have Spa, medium downforce, Monza, light downforce and Singapore, maximum downforce. These three circuits, with three completely different setups and configurations of the cars, will tell us which is the main contender for Vettel. He is the big favorite. Who will catch him or put him in some difficulties, we will see.

“After the form of Lewis (Hamilton) in Hungary, he at the moment can chase for the title. (Kimi) Raikkonen will always be there, because Lotus with the tire degradation that they have will always be a contender on Sundays. We hope and we believe that Ferrari will win that group. We work for that with some changes that we have made in the car for this race.

Sebastian Vettel is confident that he can maintain his winning momentum into the second half of the season, but the German doesn’t underestimate the opposition.

“I think we had a great first part of the season,” he said. “Very good results, unfortunately one DNF, but all in all I think we can be very happy with the first half. Now entering the second half and looking at the calendar, I think it will be very busy for all of us, but I think we have the same reason to be confident as we had starting the season.

“I think we have a great car, a great team, a strong package, which hopefully is good enough to fight for victories in the next couple of races.”

Fernando Alonso went out of his way Thursday to play down the rebuke he received from Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo after the Hungarian GP.

Reacting to comments from the Spaniard – who was also linked to discussions with Red Bull – Montezemolo had made it clear that no one is bigger than the team. However, Alonso glossed over the affair on Thursday at Spa-Francorchamps.

“I think it was wrong information coming to the president,” he said. “We looked back to all the press conferences. These days with recorders, etc., it’s easy to check exactly what you say – and it was nothing different to any other Grand Prix, nothing different in the team, and I tried to push for the best for the team and for our performance.

“He is the father of this family, of Ferrari, he is a great motivator, he is a man that put to everyone in the team the things on the clear side, and told us exactly what he expects from us and what he wants from us. The summer was very good, we were relaxing and preparing this race, talking with the team every day, talking with the president every day.”

Daniel Ricciardo insisted Thursday that he has not been told that he has Mark Webber’s Red Bull drive for next season – despite the consensus in the paddock being that the young Australian has gotten the nod.

However, the Toro Rosso driver’s body language definitely suggested that he’s expecting some good news, and even by his usual standards, he had a big smile on his face at Spa-Francorchamps.

“I don’t, honestly, follow too much of the media hype – sorry guys,” he said. “I’m on Twitter, so you see a few comments on Twitter. People write to me asking things, so then I become aware of maybe a few things that are going on. As far as I know, they could have happened, they could have not; it could just be one person starting a story.
