F1: Hockenheim officials furious with Ecclestone over contract dispute

Hockenheim’s F1 future is up in the air. The circuit has a contract with until 2018, whereby it annually alternates the German Grand Prix with the .

But F1 supremo Ecclestone and the Nurburgring on Tuesday announced they are close to agreeing a new deal to stage the German Grand Prix every year between 2015 and 2019 at the Nurburgring.

Trulli to race in inaugural Formula E championship with TrulliGP

Drayson Racing has been replaced by TrulliGP for the inaugural all-electric Formula E season. The new team will be managed by winner who will also drive one of his cars during the season.

The 39-year-old Italian is the eighth driver (in a field of 20) to have a confirmed ride for the inaugural 2014-2015 season.

MotoGP: Suppo says Honda’s priority is to keep Pedrosa

Team Principal has declared that Honda aims to retain the services of Dani Pedrosa, whose current contract expires at the end of 2014.

Pedrosa has raced with Repsol Honda Team since he stepped up to the MotoGP™ premier class at the start of 2006, having also taken the majority of the manufacturer’s 100 Grand Prix victories since the four-stroke era began in 2002.

Report: Nurburgring to host F1 race each year

The fabled Nurburgring is set to ramp up its presence on the F1 calendar. Currently, the circuit and another German venue, , annually alternate a single spot on the sport’s schedule.

But earlier this year, the insolvent Nurburgring secured its future when it was sold to a Dusseldorf automotive group called Capricorn.

Schumacher doctors urge caution as ‘long phase of rehabilitation’ ahead

Doctors have urged caution following Monday’s official news that Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma.

As well as saying the seven time world champion’s almost six-month coma is now over, Monday’s statement revealed Schumacher left the hospital in Grenoble for a “long phase of rehabilitation.”
