Mark Webber’s recent 10-place grid penalty has put a focus on the ‘three-strikes’ system, introduced in Formula One to give some meaning to the previously rather pointless awarding of reprimands.
Andrea Dovizioso will celebrate his 200th career Grand Prix start as MotoGP returns to MotorLand Aragon this weekend.
The 125 World Champion of 2004, Dovizioso would lose out twice to Jorge Lorenzo in the 250 ranks before making his premier class debut with JiR Team Scot MotoGP in 2008. His first and so far only win would come a year later, for Repsol Honda Team at Donington Park, although during his time in MotoGP the Italian has already ridden Honda, Yamaha and Ducati bikes. He now returns to Aragon: scene of his last podium finish, with Monster Yamaha Tech3 last season.

2012 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY
GT500 “SUPER SNAKE” 2 DOOR COUPE
Among the cars scheduled to roll across the block at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas is a red-white-and-blue bedecked 2012 Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby “Super Snake.” The car comes with some mileage on its odometer as well as the signatures of hundreds of people who support its mission — and also with the hopes of the dozens more who will benefit from that mission — the Wounded Warriors Family Support charity.
The scene was a familiar one, the sale of a special collector car at Barrett-Jackson with all proceeds going to charity. Also familiar was the smiling face of Roger Frank, a longtime Barrett-Jackson regular who was on the podium at last year’s Las Vegas auction to help sell off his all original 1955 Chevrolet 210 to benefit the Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund at TGen, in memory of Russ and Brian Jackson, and Festival of Hope in Scottsbluff, Nebr., Frank’s hometown.
But among those cheering the charity auction at Vegas, only a few knew just how special this sale really was. While raising funds for cancer research through the sale of his ’55 Chevy, Frank was also battling his own cancer demons. Yet there he was, grinning and having a great time as once again, he gave his all to help others.
In addition to being a crowd favorite and familiar face at Barrett-Jackson classic car auctions, Chicago native April Rose can be seen in Happy Madison’s ‘Grown Ups2′ July 2013 premier.
But that’s only a small part of her story, which this gallery helps tell.
Rose hosts and writes Maxim magazine’s weekly show, ‘Maximum Exposure,’ was featured on the cover of Maxim’s first Canadian issue, and was ranked No. 82 on Maxim’s annual Hot 100 list of the world’s most beautiful women for 2012.
