Audi wins two 24-hour races within seven days

Just one week after the manufacture’s 13th win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi returned to a victory lane in another twice-round-the-clock endurance race known as the .

Christopher Haase, Christian Mamerow, Rene Rast and Markus Winkelhock drove their Audi R8 LMS ultra en route to victory in a record-breaking 159 laps around the ‘Green Hell.’

Nico Rosberg extended his championship lead with his third victory of the year in Austria, taking advantage of the fact that teammate started back in ninth.

Although the Briton was quickly up to fourth and on Rosberg’s tail, he never got into a position to properly challenge Nico as both men had to fight their way past the Williams duo on strategy, and then preserve their equipment. Rosberg insisted that the race went to plan.

, Uruguay, was revealed last weekend as the location for the third race of the 2014-2015 season, set to take place on December 13, 2014.

Along with the announcement, FIAFormulaE.com revealed the circuit’s layout – the fourth track layout to be confirmed so far for the series’ inaugural season.

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner has made clear his frustration at by insisting that the French manufacturer has to change the way it does things.

His comments came after ’s was ruined by an early glitch that put him a lap down.

F1: Hamilton Frustrated Despite Successful Damage Limitation

Lewis Hamilton managed to convert ninth on the grid to second at the flag in Austria, but despite the successful damage limitation the Mercedes driver was clearly frustrated to lose out to teammate once again.

Hamilton had a superb first lap and was in fourth place – behind Rosberg – by the end of it.

“We’ve been working very hard on our starts throughout the year,” said Hamilton. “And the team have done a great job to help out with that, and so I got one of the best starts I’ve ever had really and positioned the car in the correct places.
