MotoGP: Cal Crutchlow Hindered By ‘Too Much Power’

Having suffered a lack of straight-line speed at the previous race in Aragón, Cal Crutchlow admits that he and Monster Yamaha Tech3 went too far in the other direction at Sepang.

Crutchlow finished the Malaysian Grand Prix in sixth position, eventually losing out to GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista. This marked the fifth consecutive race in which Crutchlow has finished outside of the top five.

SportsCars: Sean Edwards To Be Honored At Petit Le Mans

The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequil Patrón will honor the memory of driver Sean Edwards at the season-ending Powered by Mazda at Road Atlanta on Oct. 19. Edwards, 26, died Tuesday in an accident during a private driving training session at Queensland Raceway in Australia.

In tribute to Edwards’ memory, a memorial decal has been created for all cars competing in the season finale. The decal design was created from an illustration of Edwards’ helmet by renowned motorsports artist Andy Blackmore.

Roger Penske, needing nothing short of a miracle for to win the IndyCar title in this weekend’s season finale, will run a third car for AJ Allmendinger in what’s presumed to be a strategic move to aid their championship chances.

But if the plan is for Allmendinger to try to snatch points away from championship leader , Penske isn’t showing his hand.
