Ferrari director of engineering Pat Fry says that the Italian team still doesn’t know what the state of play is among the top teams.

Today Kimi Raikkonen lost track time with a telemetry issue, which led to a major re-set of the system.

MotoGP: VIDEO – Injured Marquez Thanks Fans For Their Support

Reigning World Champion will miss the Sepang 2 preseason test after suffering a broken leg during a dirt track training session Wednesday.

Marquez was immediately transferred to Quiron Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona where he was treated for a spiral fracture of the distal third of his right fibula. He will not need surgery and is expected to be fully recovered for the season-opening race in Qatar on March 23.

The 21-year-old took a moment Friday to post a message thanking his fans for their support.

Mercedes again looked good in Bahrain Friday as Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the works car ahead of McLaren’s .

However, it was not a troublefree session for Hamilton. He embarked on a race simulation run before his progress was stopped by a mechanical failure that kept him in the garage until the final hour. Nevertheless he was pleased with how the W05 performed.

Red Bull hit problems once again in Bahrain today as Daniel Ricciardo’s running was cut short by what the team called a previously unseen mechanical issue.

The Australian had logged some useful mileage in the first half of the day, although his best lap was 6.5 seconds off the front-running pace.
