, who won the 2004 Monaco Grand Prix in , test drove the Spark- SRT_01E at La Ferte Gaucher circuit near Choisy-le-Roi, France, earlier this month.

The 39-year-old Italian is a member of the Drivers’ Club, and hopes to become one of the 20 drivers who will compete in the series’ inaugural season starting in September 2014.

Renault Sport insists that it has got to the bottom of the problems suffered in Australia.

Although three of its cars made the points, the other five Renault powered cars failed to see the flag, albeit for a variety of reasons.

After the brilliant form which saw him win five of the last seven races of last season, Jorge Lorenzo had a disastrous start to his 2014 campaign on Sunday in Qatar.

The 2010 and 2012 MotoGP™ World Champion crashed out of the opening Grand Prix of the year on the first lap, having made a trademark stunning start from fifth on the grid to grab the hole-shot into Turn 1.

IndyCar team hauler catches fire on way to season opener

(RLL) reports that its hauler carrying Graham Rahal’s No. 15 race cars, to be driven during the 2014 season opener at St. Petersburg this weekend, caught fire Monday night.

The fire took place in Louisville, Ky. Yet, thanks to the efforts of transporter drivers Phil Davis and Paul Sheehan, and the Zoneton Fire Protection team, the cars and most of the racing equipment was not damaged.
