Formula E: Takuma Sato on team’s shortlist

Super Aguri, which ran two full seasons in Formula 1, is one of ten teams that will be fielding cars into the inaugural season of Formula E.

During an interview with FIAFormulaE.com, Super Aguri’s Team Principal Mark Preston revealed that Takuma Sato is on the team’s shortlist for a spot in the Formula E field.

Sebastian Vettel showed just how much progress Red Bull has made by earning second place in wet qualifying in Malaysia – just 0.05s shy of pole man Lewis Hamilton.

With rain likely to stir things up on Sunday, the German has a shot at challenging Mercedes for the win.

Fernando Alonso repaid the hard work of the Ferrari mechanics by earning fourth place on the Malaysian GP grid after a collision with Daniil Kvyat in Q2.

Alonso suffered left front suspension damage, but the team managed to replace the broken part and get him out shortly after the session restarted.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix on Saturday to tie the record for most qualifying wins by a British driver in Formula One.

Tropical rains delayed the start of qualifying for 50 minutes, but even the wet track at the Sepang International Circuit could not prevent Mercedes continuing the dominance it had shown all weekend as Hamilton made it back-to-back poles to start the new season.
