Mercedes may be dominant at the moment, but Mercedes GP Technical Executive Director Paddy Lowe expects the balance of power to change as teams and engine manufacturers pursue development over the course of the season.

Round two of the 2014 MotoGP season will take place on home soil for American riders Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards this weekend in Austin.

The Grand Prix of the Americas will be the first of two visits to the United States for the MotoGP series this season, the second being in August at Indianapolis.

Report: Schumacher responding to voices and making eye contact

Last week, Michael Schumacher’s manager, Sabine Kehm, informed the media that the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion was showing “moments of consciousness and awakening.”

Now, three months after his skiing accident in the Alps, media reports are coming through that Schumacher is responding to voices and making eye contact with others at the French Grenble University Hospital.

Hamilton Savors Fabulous Bahrain GP Win

Lewis Hamilton called his brilliant Bahrain GP win one of the best of his career after he just managed to outfox teammate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton snuck past the pole man at the start, and survived a series of attacks from Rosberg, who was handed a second chance when the safety car cut the gap before the final sprint to the flag.

Sergio Perez earned Force India’s first podium since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix when he took a superb third place in Bahrain.

The Mexican had to overcome strong challenges from teammate Nico Hulkenberg and the two Williams drivers, and he was chased across the line by Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo.
