There are many ways you can get from England to France. Among the more popular ways are to fly, take the ferry or to ride the train through the Channel Tunnel.

However, there are also some less sophisticated ways such as swimming, parachuting or jumping (attempted in vain by Ron Obvious in “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”). Never, however, has anyone gone from one country to the next … by cycling.

With the 2014 getting underway earlier this week in England, the bikers all needed to find their way over the 26 miles of seawater in order to continue the event in France.

29-year-old Chris Froome, winner of the 2013 Tour de France, decided to take the Eurotunnel. However, he had no plans on riding on the train.
