Wednesday to Friday will be a critical three days as MotoGP pre-season testing continues at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit. This will mark the last time before the opening race that all Factory teams share a track with their rivals. although will not be attending.

Immediately after Sepang, the Official riders of Repsol Honda, Yamaha Factory Racing and Ducati Team are set to travel directly to for their next test before the rest of the teams regroup for the Qatar test that same week. In the meantime, Sepang is the venue as the riders look to resume their programs from the earlier test at the start of February.

SBK: Laverty Breaks Suzuki Drought In Aussie Superbike

Eugene Laverty of Ireland gave Suzuki its first World Superbike victory since 2010, winning the first race of the championships’ opening round on Sunday.

Laverty overcame a slow start from the second row of the grid to take the lead on the 17th of 22 laps, then pulled away to win by almost three seconds over Marco Melandri of Italy, riding an Aprilia.

Following two years of careful planning and intense development, Kodewa is delighted to announce that the prototype of the world’s first motorcycle to bear the legendary Lotus marque is now road registered and ready for action.

Kodewa has been granted a license to produce the motorcycle by Group Lotus plc, the world renowned sportscar manufacturer and engineering consultancy.

Sylvain Guintoli of France produced the fastest-ever qualifying time at the circuit to claim pole position for Sunday’s opening race of the .

Guintoli steered his Aprilia around the 4.445-kilometer circuit in 1 minute, 30.038 seconds, beating the previous best lap of 1 minute, 30.234 seconds, set by Carlos Checa last year.

MotoGP: VIDEO – Injured Marquez Thanks Fans For Their Support

Reigning World Champion will miss the Sepang 2 preseason test after suffering a broken leg during a dirt track training session Wednesday.

Marquez was immediately transferred to Quiron Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona where he was treated for a spiral fracture of the distal third of his right fibula. He will not need surgery and is expected to be fully recovered for the season-opening race in Qatar on March 23.

The 21-year-old took a moment Friday to post a message thanking his fans for their support.
