James Stewart earned his third straight Monster Energy Supercross victory Saturday night in front of a record-breaking 60,213 fans at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo.

The Yoshimura Suzuki star passed three-time series champion Ryan Villopoto with 10 laps to go and pulled away to score his fifth win of the season and 50th overall. Stewart joins Jeremy McGrath – the all-time wins leader at 72 – as the only competitors in history to achieve at least 50 career victories.

James Stewart came from behind to win Saturday night’s Monster Energy Supercross race at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.

The Yoshimura Suzuki ace passed 14 riders in the 20-lap main event and beat Justin Barcia by 3.2 seconds to pick up his 49th career victory – moving him past Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time wins list. Stewart now trails all-time leader Jeremy McGrath by 23.

James Stewart made his return to the top step of the podium in Detroit with a vintage ride in which he led 19 of 20 laps and tied Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time wins list at 48. Unfortunately for Stewart and the rest of the 450SX Class field, Ryan Villopoto had a strong night as well in second and continues to sit atop the Power Rankings this week.

James Stewart dominated Saturday night’s Monster Energy Supercross race in front of 50,856 fans at Ford Field to earn his 48th career victory, tying him with Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time wins list.

After suffering three straight finishes of seventh or worse – including an 18th-place result last weekend in Daytona – Stewart returned to the top step of the podium in Detroit, Mich., leading 19 laps en route to a win over Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey.
