– It was almost as if Ryan Hunter-Reay suffered from “Post Indianapolis 500 Depression” following his dramatic win in the 500-Mile Race on May 25, in what may have been the greatest fight to the finish in Indy 500 history.

The races that followed saw Hunter-Reay finish poorly in the Detroit doubleheader (16th and 19th) and the annual Saturday night race at Texas Motor Speedway (19th).

NEWTON, – The Verizon Series will review its policy regarding drive-thru penalties, President of Competition Derrick Walker told FOXSports.com Saturday evening, a few hours prior to the start of the Iowa Corn Indy 300 at .

Walker, who dictates all competition policy for INDYCAR, believes the drive-thru penalty is often not appropriate for some infractions. That penalty has been called quite often this year with Team Penske driver Will Power getting five drive-thru penalties so far this season including last Sunday’s race at when he blocked teammate Helio Castroneves.
