For only the second time in the storied history of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an IndyCar will hit the infield road course as part of an open test.
On Wednesday, Ryan Briscoe and Graham Rahal are scheduled to run multiple configurations of the infield road course to “gather information about the current course layouts” as the speedway looks at a nearly $100 million upgrade to the facility with the possibility of future races in mind.
