It has been almost six months since Michael Schumacher’s tragic skiing accident that has put him in a coma from which he has yet to awake.
Though no news has officially been released, the German weekly newsmagazine Bunte recently reported that the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion has been moved to a special rehabilitation unit in the Grenoble hospital.
Though the 45-year-old remains in the same hospital that he has been in since December 29, 2013, he has reportedly been discharged from the neurological care unit and is now being prepared for rehabilitation in a specialist clinic.
If true, the move indicates that Schumacher is ‘out of danger’ with regards to any imminent threat to a loss of his life, reports Bunte.
Yet the Daily Mail reports that, in the past, doctors have spoke of a point that may come when they would not be able to improve Schumacher’s condition. Then, the German would be released from the emergency unit, yet receive the same massage therapy and muscle toning that he has been receiving now in the rehab center.
